Spotlight

I usually keep a camera, or my phone handy, when we are traveling. The morning sun was poking through the clouds and looked like a spotlight, creating such wonderful amoeba-like shapes that I couldn’t resist taking several photographs. I made several sketches before painting this large minimal sky painting.

Before painting, this canvas was covered with light brown color as a ground preparation. This is an acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas, the painting continues on all sides. There is no need for a frame. Size of this painting is 48 x 60.
